Mohammed Al-Kahtani

Mohammed Al-Kahtani

Chief Executive Officer

As founder and Chief Executive Officer of MAK Partners, Mohammed Al-Kahtani provides strategic guidance and leadership for all aspects of the firm’s operations. Mr Al- Kahtani brings more than twenty years of real estate and financial experience to the firm.

Previously, Mr Al-Kahtani worked for five years as CEO for QInvest-Saudi Arabia, a multi billion dollar Qatari owned investment company. Before this role, Mr Al-Kahtani was with Deutsche Bank, as Head of Equity Capital Markets for Saudi Arabia and the greater GCC.

Prior to that, Mr Al-Kahtani worked for eight years as part of the Investment Banking team with Samba Financial Group, Citibank’s Saudi subsidiary.

Mr Al-Kahtani holds a BA in Economics and a Master of Science in Engineering, both from The George Washington University in Washington DC.

Junius Tillery

Managing Director – Portfolio Management

Junius Tillery is responsible for managing and expanding MAK Partners’ US-based real estate portfolio. Mr Tillery is an Executive Managing Director at NGKF and leads their Northern Virginia practice. He has played an integral role in thousands of transactions totaling more than 100 million square feet. In the past three years alone Mr Tillery has completed more than a billion dollars in transactions.

During his thirty year tenure in commercial real estate, Mr Tillery built a vast array of advisory experience, spending nine years each with the Trammell Crow Company and DTZ. He began his career in 1989 at CB Richard Ellis, formerly Coldwell Banker Commercial.

Mr Tillery graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.

Brent Platt

Brent Platt

Managing Director – Acquisitions

Brent Platt is responsible for developing and managing MAK Partners’ relationships with real estate investment, development and operation firms in the US and the UK. Mr Platt has 20 years of real estate, government, legal and private equity experience.

Prior to MAK Partners, Brent was the Executive Vice President and General Counsel of SORA Development, LLC, a real estate development and investment firm with a focus on mixed-use, student housing and hospitality. In this role, Brent led all business development, managed relationships with development and investment firms and helped to oversee all legal affairs. After law school, Mr Platt served in the Clinton White House. He then was the Director of Government Affairs for Automatic Data Processing, ADP LLC, where he oversaw and managed all Federal and State Government Relations. Mr Platt then was a Principal at the law firm Oldaker, Biden and Belair, where he represented several Fortune 500 multi-national corporations across all sectors of the Federal Government.

Mr Platt is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and George Mason School of Law.

Ted Muxworthy

Ted Muxworthy

Managing Director - UK

Ted Muxworthy has more than thirty years of real estate investment and management experience.

Mr Muxworthy is a qualified Chartered Surveyor since 1984 and has worked solely in London, undertaking several £Billions of commercial property transactions.

Previously, Mr Muxworthy was an Equity Partner and LLP Member of Central London property specialists Godfrey Vaughan, which was acquired by Colliers International in April 2008.

Mr Muxworthy is a member of the Investment Property Forum (IPF), the Westminster Property Association (WPA) and the Worshipful Company of Chartered Surveyors (WCCS). Mr Muxworthy is a Land Management graduate from the University of Reading.
